Hunter Cole Berns Memorial Scholarship

About the Scholarship

Hunter Cole Berns (Princess Anne High School class of 2017) was a proud Cavalier who was loved and celebrated in the halls and in the stands of the athletic fields of Princess Anne High School from 2010 to 2017. During his tenure, he was an avid fan of every PAHS sporting team and Fine Arts program, an attendee of every dance, and a permanent concession stand volunteer. Hunter, his wheelchair, and his hats were well known throughout not only the West Building, but the entire school. Princess Anne High School provided him with loving teachers, caring therapists, and a world of friends. Hunter loved his school: the students, the teachers, the staff, the volunteers, everyone.

To honor Hunter and the many people who taught, guided, and assisted him at PAHS, his family and friends established this $1000 annual scholarship. Although not required, preference will be given to West Building Students pursuing college or vocational school, West Building Volunteers, and students pursuing a degree in Special Education or Physical/Behavioral/Occupational/Speech Therapy.
